How I use AI

I use AI and large language models (LLMs) such as Claude and Claude Code to:

  • Write boilerplate code. The repetitive scaffolding every project needs, so more of my time goes into the parts that make your project yours.

  • Work through complex problems. As a sounding board when debugging or weighing up different technical approaches.

  • Automate routine tasks. Admin and repetitive jobs that don't need a person's attention.

What stays with me

AI is a tool, not a replacement for experience. Design decisions, architecture, code review and quality are mine. Any AI-assisted code is read, understood, tested and adjusted by me before it goes anywhere near your project, and I take full responsibility for everything I deliver.

Your data

I never put personal information into an AI tool. That includes:

  • anything submitted through the forms on this website

  • client names, contact details and correspondence

  • personal data held in your website, database or systems

  • passwords, API keys and access credentials

When I use AI on client work, I describe the problem in general terms or use made-up example data.

Client projects

If you'd rather I didn't use AI tools on your project at all, or if your organisation has its own AI policy I need to follow, just tell me before we start and I'll work within it.
