Pricing

How much does a website cost?

Three starting packages below, all fixed before we begin. Most projects land within a few hundred pounds of the figure on this page, and the ones that don't get quoted properly before any work starts.

  • Fixed project prices Worked out at £30/hour, agreed in writing before I start.
  • No VAT surprise The price you get is what you pay.
  • Nothing locked to me Files, domain and accounts stay in your name.

Every quote is fixed before we start. If the scope changes, we agree the new number first.

02 Services

Just need one thing?

Not every project needs a full build. If you've already got a designer or developer, or just need one piece sorted, I also offer services individually.

04 Straight answers

About pricing, specifically.

Anything missing? Ask me directly, I'll give you a straight answer, not a sales one.

Is "from £X" the real price, or will it go up?

It's a genuine starting point, not a teaser. If your project matches what's listed - one page, a standard CMS site and so on - that's roughly what you'll pay. If it turns out to need more (extra integrations, more complex content, tighter deadlines), I'll tell you before any work starts, not after.

How does payment work?

For most projects, it's 40% to book your dates and 60% on launch. Bigger projects, like custom builds and online shops, are split into three stages, so you're never paying for work that hasn't happened yet.

What if I need more changes than the rounds included?

Extra rounds are billed at £30/hr, agreed before I start on them, so there are no surprise charges. In practice, most projects don't go over, because the earlier stages (scope and wireframes) are there to catch anything heading the wrong way before it becomes a problem.

Do I need to provide my own content and images?

I'll help structure and tidy up your words, but they should come from you - you know your business best. Images and logos are yours to provide, unless branding is part of the project. I can help you find stock photos too, but you'll need to buy the licences.

What happens after my site launches?

You get a full handover - files, fonts, licences and a walkthrough, so you're never locked in. If you'd rather not deal with updates yourself, a care plan covers that on a rolling monthly basis, with 4 weeks' notice to cancel.

Tell me what you're trying to build.

A couple of lines is plenty. I reply to everything within a working day, even if the answer is “I'm not the right fit”.
