A bespoke online shop for students and teachers
An ageing website turned into an online shop for digital teaching resources, books and magazines, with separate accounts for students and teachers.
01 Why Stamford businesses call me
I spent part of my agency career working in Stamford, and I'm in the same district now. I know the town, its high street and the kind of businesses that make it what it is.
No account manager, no handover to a junior. The person you speak to is the person building it.
You'll have the scope, price and dates on one page before anything starts, worked out at £30 an hour. It doesn't move unless you change what you asked for.
Fast, well-structured pages and your Google Business Profile set up properly, so locals and visitors searching in Stamford can actually find you.
Domain, files, accounts and logins are in your name from day one, even if you leave.
Once your site's live, I don't disappear. If something breaks or you need a hand with an update, you've still got my number.
02 Services
Most projects use two or three of these together - I'll tell you which ones you actually need.
A design that looks like your business, not a template with your logo dropped in.
Built by hand, so it's fast, works on every device and is easy for you to update.
A logo, colours and fonts that work together, so your business looks the same from your shop front to your website.
Online shops that are simple for customers to buy from, and simple for you to run.
Helping the right people find you on Google, with reports that actually make sense.
Hosting, updates, backups and small changes, so it's one less thing to think about.
Checking your site works for everyone, including people using screen readers or keyboards - and fixing it if it doesn't.
03 Selected work
A few recent projects, with what each business needed and how I went about it.

Thoughtful design for a sustainable fashion marketplace

A modern WordPress website for golf coach Sarah, showing off her coaching services, skills and qualifications, and making it easy to get in touch.
04 Prices
I'd rather give you real numbers than a "get in touch for a quote". Every project gets a fixed price before any work starts.

from £2,400
05 How It Goes
Half an hour on a call. What the business needs, what's in the way, what you can spend. Free, and no pitch deck.
One page: scope, price, dates. If it's more than you expected, we cut scope rather than corners.
You see it every week on a live link. Comments go straight on the page. Nothing gets built in secret.
I press the button, watch it for a fortnight, and show you how to run it. Then I'm around when you need me.
06 Straight answers
Anything missing? Ask me directly and I'll give you a straight answer, not a sales one.
Yes. I'm based in Grantham, about half an hour up the A1, and work with businesses across Stamford, South Kesteven and the surrounding villages, as well as the rest of the UK.
Of course. Stamford's an easy trip for me, so I'm happy to meet for the first chat. Plenty of clients prefer to do everything over calls and email though, and that works just as well.
A bit, yes. Visitors usually find you on their phone, often while they're already in town, so your site needs to load quickly, show your opening times and location clearly, and make it easy to book or get in touch. I'll build it with that in mind.
One-page sites start from £600, full sites from £1,200, and custom builds or online shops from £2,400. You'll get a fixed price before anything starts. See my full pricing for what's included.
Usually, yes. I'll take a look at what you've got first and tell you honestly whether it needs a full rebuild or just a few fixes. If you're on the fence, this post might help.
A couple of lines is plenty. I reply to everything within a working day, even if the answer is “I'm not the right fit”.
